A Card Game With Teeth

🛡️ Last Stand

The first hit that would take you to 0 HP in a crawl doesn't - it leaves you standing at 1 instead. Once per crawl, automatic, no button to remember. The one guaranteed save for a genuinely bad stretch.

⚔️ Weapons That Wear Down

Equip a weapon and it degrades with every kill - it can only beat enemies at or below the rank of the one it just fought. Save it for the fight that actually needs it.

🃏 44 Unique Crypties Cards

Every card in the deck is hand-assigned to a real Crypties NFT, not a shuffled art pool - the toughest enemies carry the rarest pieces in the collection.

🏆 CARBON & a Weekly Leaderboard

Every card you resolve earns CARBON that pays out the moment your crawl ends, win or lose. Log in and your best runs climb the weekly leaderboard for a share of a 50,000 CARBON pool.

Every Card Is a Real Crypties NFT

Crypties are the OG collectible dead things on Cardano - and the entire 44-card deck is illustrated in their art, not generic icons. The toughest monsters in the crypt carry the rarest pieces in the collection.

How a Crypt Works

  • Diamonds (2-10) are weapons - equip one and it stays until you use it, degrading so it can only beat weaker enemies after each kill.
  • Hearts (2-10) are medkits - the first one you use each crypt heals in full; any more in the same crypt still heal, just for half.
  • Clubs & Spades (2-14) are enemies - fight bare-handed and take full damage, or spend your weapon and take only the difference.
  • Resolve 3 of 4 cards in a crypt and the last one carries into the next; or flee a fresh crypt once (not twice in a row) to reshuffle it back into the deck.

Think Like a Survivor

  1. Save your weapon for the fight that needs it. It only degrades further once you use it - a fresh weapon on a weak enemy is a wasted edge later.
  2. Don't burn every medkit in one crypt. Only the first heals in full; spacing them across crypts is worth more than hoarding them into one.
  3. Flee when the room is genuinely bad. You only get it once between touches - use it on a crypt that would actually cost you Last Stand, not a mild inconvenience.
  4. Take out tough enemies while you still can. Avoiding a dangerous Club or Spade doesn't make it go away - it's still in the deck, waiting for a moment when you're weaker. Clear it while you can actually afford to.
  5. Fighting bare-handed on purpose is a real move. Taking the HP hit instead of spending your weapon on an enemy it could still beat isn't a mistake - it keeps your weapon's shrinking range open for something worse.
  6. Watch the music. The ambient track shifts to Frantic, then Doom, when a crypt has become genuinely unsurvivable even played perfectly - your ears will know before the HP bar makes it obvious.

Crypt Crawl FAQ

Is Crypt Crawl really free to play?

Yes - completely free. Open the page and play, no purchase or signup required.

Do I need an account to play?

No account is needed for casual play. Log in through Skulliance with Discord if you want your runs saved, counted toward the leaderboard, and paid out in CARBON - but it's never required to enjoy the game.

Does Crypt Crawl work on mobile?

Yes. The whole board is touch-friendly and resizes for phones and tablets - it plays just as well on mobile as on desktop.

What happens if I lose?

Running out of HP (after Last Stand is spent) ends the crawl as a loss - the same as giving up mid-crawl. Either way, whatever CARBON you'd earned that run still pays out, and you can start a fresh crawl immediately.

Where does the card art come from?

Every card is hand-assigned to a specific Crypties NFT - the OG collectible dead things on Cardano - not a random or shuffled pool. The rarest pieces in the collection are reserved for the toughest enemies in the deck.

Ready to Crawl?

The deck is shuffled and waiting. No download. No signup. Just play.
