Boss Battles
Boss Battles are co-op PvE encounters built on the Monstrocity combat engine. Instead of an AI duel, the whole community chips away at shared bosses with persistent health, and you're rewarded for the damage you deal.
Playing
- You can only fight bosses tied to NFT collections you own - boss eligibility is gated by collection policy.
- Each encounter starts your health fresh, but the boss's health persists across all players and all of your attempts. Damage you deal carries over toward defeating it.
- Combat uses the same turn-based match-3 system as the Monstrocity campaign. See Monstrocity.
Damage & Bounties
- Your leaderboard metric is total damage dealt across all encounters - you're rewarded for chipping away even if you don't land the killing blow.
- A boss carries a bounty scaled by a participation multiplier (more unique players engaging a boss raises the bounty), so popular bosses pay out more.
Leaderboard & Rewards
Boss Battles run on a weekly cadence. The weekly leaderboard ranks players by total damage dealt and distributes a pool of CLAW + CARBON down the leaderboard by rank. CARBON can be burned for DIAMOND - see Crafting.
Consumables
Encounters can use the shared platform consumables (success boosts, Fast Forward, Double Rewards, Random Reward) - see Consumable Items.
